On 9 December 2022, I received the call every parent fears. I was told my beautiful 18-year-old son, Bailey Jones, wasn’t going to make it.
In that single moment, my world stopped. Bailey was my only child. He wasn’t just my son — he was my world.
As I searched for answers, I discovered serious failures in the system surrounding Intensive Correction Orders and offender supervision. I couldn’t accept that these gaps existed when they had such devastating consequences.
